Acupressure At Glance

Acupressure is one of physiotherapy model from china that give pressure on certain points in our body. The pressure could be given by finger or by a special tool than is usually made from wood or metal. That is the different point between acupressure and  acupuncture , as well known that acupuncture use needle as the media.

In theory , a focus pressure in certain point of the body can make brain producing  endorphins. Endorphins play an important role in immune function, relieve pain, reduce stress and slow the aging process.

The studies have confirmed the benefits of acupressure compared with physical treatment. lower back pain researchers, the results are still very important and relevant. In February 2006, a randomized controlled trial was conducted at the National Taiwan University, Taipei.
129 patients with chronic low back pain received acupressure or physical therapy for 1 month. After treatment and at 6 months follow up,  The surveyor  found  the amazing result , the patient who get acupressure get more better condition with their back pain then the patient who get common physiotherapy.
Compared with physical therapy, acupressure was associated with a 89% reduction in significant disability and that improvement was maintained at 6 months follow up.

At the others study and experience, found that acupressure also usually used to maintain the beauty of face skin. Such as remove black shadow around the eye, reduce wrinkles on the face and so on.

Others disease that is said could be reduced by acupressure is “Stress” and its effect. This is maybe because the acupressure could make the patient become relax and enjoy.

Regarding acupressure point in our body, it is said around 365 point. But some therapist is like to use points at hand and foot area.

Garlic is one of the oldest known medicinal plants, and it ’s believed that combat heart disease, lower blood pressure and help fight the cold. They focus on growth retardation in infants and pre-eclampsia, a condition which is very dangerous for the mother and child that occurs in approximately one in ten pregnancies.
